Scholarships

UNAD Florida offers a variety of institutional scholarships designed to support students in pursuing their university studies. These scholarships are awarded by UNAD Florida and apply only to tuition fees. The percentage awarded depends on the specific scholarship for which the student qualifies.

Scholarships Policy and Application Forms

This policy covers all aspects related to the scholarships awarded by UNAD Florida. It includes the application and selection process, the benefits granted and the conditions to maintain the awarded scholarship.

All applicants will be treated with dignity and respect, providing the same opportunities to all students without regard to color, race, religion, sex, national origin, citizenship, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or any other category protected by law.

Scholarship Qualifications and Requirements

1º UNAD Florida Staff Awarded 30% of tuition fees

Proof of being a UNAD staff
Transcripts demonstrating a good academic performance while studying at UNAD
once per program

2º UNAD alumni 30% of tuition fees

Proof of being a UNAD alumni
Transcripts demonstrating a good academic performance while studying in UNAD
Awarded: once per program

3º Religious Community 20% of tuition fees

Membership in a recognized religious community (church, synagogue, mosque, temple, etc.).
Document or identification issued by the religious organization.
Awarded: once per program

4º Humanitarian Reasons 20% of tuition fees

Proof of economic need and other extreme social and political situations that challenge their well-being: low-income proof, political asylum, natural disaster victim
Awarded: once per program

5º Outstanding Academic Performance 20% of tuition fees

Proof of academic performance demonstrating the student has a minimum GPA of 3.3 for undergraduate and 3.6 for graduate programs.
Awarded: once per program

6º Professors 25% of tuition fees

Proof of academic participation as a teacher.
Letter of references attesting to applicants’ experiences of conducting research and their interest in continuing to do so.
Awarded: once per program

7º Research & Knowledge (graduate) 10% of tuition fees

Proof of academic involvement in research: publications, newspapers, awards, recognition, or letters from faculty members.
References letter testifying applicant experiences of doing research experiences and interest
Awarded: once per program

8º Social Responsibility 10% of tuition fees

Proof of community participation: church, local community, shelters, or participation in non-profit organizations
Awarded: once per program

9º Military & Police 10% of tuition fees

Proof of being member of military or police institution or group
Awarded: once per program

10º Sport & Arts 10% of tuition fees

Proof of outstanding performance in arts or sports: awards, contests or Reference letters attesting to the applicant’s outstanding performance
Awarded: once per program

Students who are awarded a UNAD Florida scholarship must comply with ALL the requirements of the scholarship during the time it is awarded:

Maintain a GPA above 3.0 throughout the program.
Remain enrolled in at least two periods per academic year.
Be enrolled in at least three courses per term for undergraduate programs and two courses per term for graduate programs.
Comply with all attendance and institutional code of conduct regulations.

Once awarded, if a student does not meet the conditions to maintain a scholarship, he/she will receive a scholarship warning. UNAD Florida will allow one term to help the student meet the scholarship requirements and maintain its benefits.

Eligibility: applicants must be currently enrolled in a UNAD Florida program, be in good academic standing, demonstrate financial need, comply with all the requirements of the requested scholarship, and not be current recipients of any other scholarship benefit.

How to apply: complete the Scholarship Application Form and send it, with proof of meeting the scholarship requirements, to student.services@unad.us for the Student Services Director to validate and review.

Discounts

Scholarships and discounts are different benefits. In addition to the institutional scholarships listed above, UNAD Florida currently offers one tuition discount for undergraduate students:

Heavy Course Load Discount (Undergraduate): Undergraduate students who enroll in five (5) courses within a single term are eligible for a 10% tuition discount, applied only to that specific term. To qualify, students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.

The institution reserves the right to modify this discount policy at any time.
